E-commerce websites continue to be minimally affected by the pandemic.

We have all been under quarantine for a long time. Many of us can't even go to work, and many businesses had to close their doors. Yes, the coronavirus has negatively impacted all of our lives. However, there is a fact that the pandemic has had a significantly positive effect on the e-commerce world. People's biggest fear was that courier and logistics companies might halt their operations, but even in countries with months-long lockdowns worldwide, courier companies continue their operations with the highest health and safety measures in place to ensure that the supply chain doesn't break further and the economy doesn't come to a complete halt.

The primary reason for this is closely related to people spending more time in front of their computers and phones since they are not leaving their homes. Because everyone is at home, they are shopping online from e-commerce websites more than ever. As a result, the pandemic has had an extremely positive impact on e-commerce businesses.

As you know, many stores are now continuing to sell online. Stores that had to close due to the pandemic have started meeting their customers online. We can now buy all sorts of products online, from appliances to stationery. This is why the e-commerce industry is experiencing continuous growth.

While there are many ready-made options in e-commerce, many businesses want to create their systems using custom software.

Compared to the previous few years, e-commerce, as a commercial system application, has reached its peak this year. It continues to attract attention by making both sellers and buyers happy. Unfortunately, since the pandemic is not over yet, no one can go out. The fate of e-commerce (shopping) sites seems to remain positive.

While some sectors have increased their sales and turnovers by up to 400% by turning to e-commerce, others have increased by 100%, stating that they have increased their capacities. The sectors that saw the most significant increase were determined as food, books, cleaning, and clothing.

When the e-commerce sector is examined in detail, it has been known as a steadily advancing sector for many years. However, looking at the last 1.5 months, especially with the undeniable impact of the pandemic, we can see that e-commerce websites have progressed much more. We have also seen how much we need e-commerce websites during this period. Among these e-commerce websites, there are also small business owners who have closed their shops due to the pandemic. In this process, SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) that switched to e-commerce can continue their production and trade without risking their health or the health of their customers.

When examined more deeply, it can be seen that one of the most significant reasons is the closure of stores and the skyrocketing sales in some sectors. Due to these and many other reasons, there has been an increase in demand in many sectors. Many businesses have shifted their focus to online sales to secure their health. Supermarkets, grocery stores, boutiques, and boutique bookstores are currently the most frequent places to apply for opening e-commerce sites. Many retailers continue to demand e-commerce applications. Many companies that sell books and toys have already started online sales. In conclusion, e-commerce brands and shopkeepers that sell through e-commerce have profited from the pandemic period. It is not expected that these data will change negatively in the coming days. On the contrary, it is predicted that many more companies will enter our lives with e-commerce.
